Who is
invited?
Invitations to the Saturday night
dinner dance are extended to RHHS Class of 1969 classmates and teachers,
and just about anyone they might want to bring along. Classmates include
those who belonged to the class for any part of its four years at RHHS.
Guests may be spouses, significant others, family members, and friends.
Every attendee must register in advance. No registration, no name tag,
no admittance.
How much will it cost?
-
Friday night is free for the
no-host Happy Hour at the Doubletree Hotel lounge.
You’re on your own for drinks and snacks if you choose.
-
There will be a $20 charge (cash
only) for the Friday night Pub Crawl at sign-in.
In addition, you’ll pay for your own food and drinks, at reduced
prices.
-
The registration price for you or
your guest to attend the Saturday night dinner dance is $79. The
price goes up by $10 after August 15. If you can contribute a little
more to help offset the Reunion Committee’s upfront out-of-pocket
expenses, please make a Supporter Contribution for $20 or a Sponsor
Contribution for $50.
-
The Sunday picnic is
Bring-Your-Own-Lunch and free of charge.
How
can I register?
Is there a deadline for
registering?
You have until Wednesday, August 26
to register online, and until Friday, August 28 to register by mail.
What if I have to cancel? Will I
get a refund?
Yes, you will get a refund (less a
$20 processing fee) if you cancel by August 15. After August 15, no
refunds will be given.
What’s on the menu?
Your registration includes the Ports
O’ Call buffet dinner. We opted for the buffet rather than a sit-down
plated dinner, because we heard that people wanted to move and mingle.
There’s also more variety: hors d’oeuvres; a selection of salads and
vegetables; Angus prime rib, King salmon, pork loin, vegetarian
rigatoni, rolls and butter, cake for dessert, coffee, hot tea, and
punch.
Is
alcohol included?
Alcohol is not included in the
registration price, but there will be a no-host bar.
What is “beach casual” attire?
You spoke up and we heard! The
majority wanted a low-key, relaxed reunion. Wear something that’s
comfortable for you—it’s probably already in your closet. For men, beach
casual includes everything from khakis, jeans, cargo pants and shorts
with polo or tropical shirts to board shorts (we used to call them
‘jams’) and tees. For women, beach casual includes everything from
sundresses to slacks, capris or leggings with halter tops, tunics, or
tropical shirts to board shorts (jams) and tank tops. Hint: you’ll want
to make sure you can sit comfortably in a beach chair.
What
should I wear for the Friday night Happy Hour?
You’ll be safe with something on the
dressier end of the “beach casual” options.
How can I buy a
Reunion T-shirt or tote bag?
T-shirts and totes and lots of other
merchandise are available
in our online shop. Click here for details.
Remember to order in plenty of time for the party and the picnic!
What is a Class Book?
The Class Book is being created by
talented members of our own Class of 1969, with lots of great color
photos and portraits from the reunion, classmate contact information,
scrapbook-style memory pages, and news about what our classmates are
doing. You will have an opportunity to send in your contact info, brief
biography, and current photo for inclusion in the book, even if you
don’t attend the reunion. Watch your snail mail and e-mail and check the
web site for more news about the Class Book.
Where is
the Bio form to fill out for the Class Book?
Right here!
How can I order a Class Book?
Class Books will be available here in
October 2009, in both soft cover and CD.
How can I order
copies of my reunion portrait?
Your registration includes having
your portrait taken by the reunion photographer. Portraits will appear
in the Class Book. Extra portrait prints and CDs will be available
online in October, 2009.
Can I bring my
‘60s classic car to the reunion?
Absolutely! Contact Tom Templeton at
slowood@aol.com and let him know
what you’re bringing so he can reserve a space. Everyone can check out
classmates’ vintage wheels at Classics Cove, Ports O’ Call, on Saturday
night.
